14400, RUST! Posted by SpeedracerIndy, Feb-08-02 02:19 AM I was working under my car today and I noticed some bad rust under the car where the trunk is. It is bubbling up all around the rubber plugs. Then I looked inside the trunk where the spare tire is and there was a lot of water. I am wondering if there is a drian plug that needs to be opened or if there is something else wrong. Anyone else have this problem or have any ideas. | |

Posted by mcgyvr, Feb-08-02 03:08 AM this is what you do, check the rubber gasket around the trunk by going in the trunk with a flashlight, have someone close it and spray it down with a garden hose and check for leaks, if you see one inspect the rubber gasket in that area and maybe apply some silicon sealant under the gasket | |
