I just bought a shirt shifter and now I'm looking for a cool shift knob. However, I change my mind waaaaay too many times and I just can't decide on what to get. Right now I'm thinking about a carbon fiber or silver ball. But I know that in a few weeks I'm wanting a different one. So, I really don't want to spent over $50 for one, like a momo, and only use it for a couple of weeks. Does anybody know of a place to get them for pretty cheap???

I know how everyone hates wannabe TYPE R racers, but there is actually one shift knob I think looks really clean and nice. It is a replica of the OEM Type R shift knob. It has the gears etched in red on top, and its very small and simple. But I have no idea if the Honda threads would work on our cars?

Skrilla, I have the Grex polished one too. Yeah if feels great, I have it off right now... damn cold starting up in the Chicago winter. It'll be back on come spring I'm sure.

i got the momo aluminum sport ball, but it costs a grip - $75
if you think youre gonna switch, i saw a replica of the momo at auto zone for thirteen bucks but it wasnt polished,it was like a satin look. i do know that other companies like ractive probably sell the same knob as mine much cheaper.

for it at autozone but the only difference is it doesn't say momo
but it works great on my short shifter.

I saw that same Momo knob on ebay yesterday and it sold for $34 :) I thought about bidding on it, but then I was too late :(

i bet i got the cheapest shift knob out of all you guys. i punked about a 2 foot cylindrical piece of aluminium from work and my best friends dad made abou 4 shift knobs with it on his wood turning lathe. all he had to use was a bunch of different sized files to shape them, then he drilled and tapped them to the approriate size (none of those stupid set screws that never hold for shit). total cost i made twenty bucks. i sold one of them to some kid with a civic. its just to bad i had to put it on my civic cause my talons automatic =(

my friend has a jeep, and he has a shi pole handle as his shift "knob"- he enjoys skiing obviously- I know thats off topic but i found it kinda funny

i too have the polished greddy knob.....thats my vote...but its best to cover it during the summer when its hot...otherwise youll get 3rd degree burns trying to shift hahaa

i have no clue on the weight, but its heavier than stock. no gears stamped, and its black leather. very clean look
