14337, c/f hood is on Posted by vegasdsmr, Feb-09-02 07:18 AM
watup fellaz
did the c/f hood last night, and i gotta make the holes a lil bigger so i can drop it over the pins. 3 outta the 4 holes lined up perfectly, and i used washers since the stock bolts are long. the one hole that is off, is way off. lookin through the bracket, i can see only about an 1/8 or the hole (supposed to see right through it and 100% of hole). i figured i would drill the hole in the bracket to make it so i could slap the bolt through it, but i dont wan the bracket to loose its strength. i will probably opt for 4 pins in teh future.
looks tight, just gotta hit up the depot and get a file so i can drop that shit and see what it really is gunna look like.
pics soon, im tryin

yah, shes on, and tested to 100mph.
one of the mrgasket pin bolts decided to snap in half while tightenin it up on the frame, so im only runnin one pin, but both the lox are chillen on the hood.
in the corners by the windshield, the bolts that attatch through the mounting bracket arent in all the way, so im thinkin i am gunna hood pin the upper ones to the bracket, or throught the bracket bolt hole, and ride w/4 pins, and no mountin brackets.
since the bolts arent in all the way, she sits kinda high, and not level w/ the side fenders. i still have to do sum adjusting, but i needed to giddeup tonight so i half asses the install, and bounced when i could lock her up.
the latch, when its totally closed, has the hood tight as u konw what. it takes good force to get it to lock, on the stock latch, and the hood pin, but thats a good thing.
ill have to take pics reeeaaaally soon to show off my shiot.
