With the new white face gauges on, the center of the car looks out of place. I just ordered a heater control asssembly from MS recycling. my plan is this.. to take off the outer trim that surrounds the heater control assembly and the stereo. paint the front face of the heater control unit white, I'm going to have to make a template to cover up the area that the amber light shines thru so it doesn't get painted over. has anyone tried to do this before?, and if so do you have any tips? Second question.. can you get colored light bulbs to replace the amber ones?

someone posted something like that a while ago. i don't remember who(i think it was hondahater21) and all he did was make a set of white overlays for the HVAC and put them on. if you paint them, you run the risk of ruining them. i would recommend just getting like some glossy paper, and then use photoshop to make the template with all the right dimensions

Thanks for the idea. I'll try that out. i ordered one besides the one already in the car. so if i can't get it to line up properly using photoshop. I'll just try painting it,, I'll try your idea first, Thanks!

they have HVACguage replacements in tons of colors..i got the silver 15bucks and 3 days later.. they go over ur stocks like a decal..

dont paint them.. please dont paint them..
to change the amber do a search we have numerous ones on it

I checked them out ,, i'm going to get them.. that will save alot of time.

yup that was the place for them.

About replacing the amber bulbs, there are alot of people (including me) that have done this. I've got Blue HVAC lights right now! Hondhater21 has an awesome write up on how to. Or he will make them for you if you pay him.
