i see alot of the pics on the board of the center piece of the tail-lights being the same color as the rest of the car. i have been wanting to do this for a while. what did you guys do to do that, i measured it out and was going to go to a sticker shop and have a viynl piece cut out to fit. just curious if anybody has any better or cheaper ideas.

Well one of the best things I have bought for my car would be a bottle of spray paint. Go to a good paint mix shop and have them mix them a bottle of paint of whatever your paint code is. Look on the sticker in in your engine bay or in your door jam. Sand real well, paint, clear, put on. If you want a more detailed explanation I can help ya out when you get the paint.

like EvuLFleA said, sand it, prime it, paint it, clear coat it, and put it back it. i did the same to mine and i like it way better than a clear center piece plus you don't have to worry about the vinyl coming off or fading, which happens over time(i worked in a vinyl shop)

I got mine at a vinal shop about 2yrs ago for $10 and it has not faded. Paint fades also but if you get a hi-quality vinal then you should be cool. It kinda sucks tho cuz you can't open your trunk from the rear cuz the sticker covers the hole and makes it look like it's shaved.

i have vinyl on mine...you can poke a hole in the middle of the vinyl on top of the keyhole, and then tuck it into the hole (if that makes any sense), that way you can get to it from the outside.

Ive done it both ways... with vinyl and (now) painted... part of me wishes that I wouldve just left it vinyl rather than painting it... (basically because I seem to change my mind every 3 months or so) and with vinyl you can change it... and it shouldnt fade (if they use high performance cast vinyl...the stuff we use at my sign shop is guaranteed for 7 years) but thats imo :)
