13745, where do I get these taillights?
Posted by jdpilot, Jan-31-02 11:16 AM
One of the members here has a green eclipse with unique taillights (sorry I didn't remember who you are but the car looks tight). The top half of each lamp is red the bottom half is white. Very prelude-esque. Where do I get these. I have never seen these, especially on any ride up here in the far north reaches of New England... Thanks

Get a pair of clear taillights for about 50-100 bucks and get some transparent tape. If you want more info, hit me up. later

Yep, very slick Idea. You can still geta ticket for it here in FL because the law states...

"Tail lamps must have a transparent red reflective lense, that emits a red light visible 1000ft."

or something to that effect. Those tail lights dont have a red reflective lense, but I'm sure Mickey doesnt get messed with by MPD.

Funny thing is that the red strips does cover the reflective part of the tails, which means that FROM up to 1000 or even 10,000 feet for that matter, it will reflect back RED! gotcha!

Some of us paint it, others use a matching vinyl sticker much like that used for windshield visors. These are mad cheap, look good, and can be made to fit at your local vinyl graphics shop.

I had the body shop paint it when I was getting the "semi incident" fixed at no additional charge.
