13702, Removing back seat speaker panel
Posted by damasta, Feb-03-02 07:07 AM
Hey I wanna change my speakers (I think I blew one), I can't seem to figure out how to remove the rear speaker panel (beside the back seat). I removed all visible screws, the bottom part of the back seat. What else needs to come off, I can't even tell where it's being held in, I don't wanna rip too hard and mess something up.

Oh and what size are the rear speakers, 6x9? And the front (in the doors) will fit 6.5" speakers right?

there are screws where the bottom of the rear seats touch the panel, and i think a screw where the back rest touches the panel.

it is held on by clips that are on the panel itself. a few wiggles, and u should be aight. just be careful

the rear speakers are 6x9 or 5 1/4 i think. depends on the infinity system.

There's 3 screws on each. Take your back seats out,It's easier. Once you have all the screws out on the bottom of the panel just pull gently. The speakers have 4 screws a piece in them. Mark your positive wires before disconnecting.

three screws to remove the panel.. two low, one high (near the backs of the seats).. wiggle wiggle and they will pop off.. speakers sizes are 5 1/4 & 6 1/2s.. 6.5s and 6x9s with infinity systems i believe
