heh, i pulled a "Joe" and painted it with the dash INSIDE the car haha

That and a lot of masking tape and paper haha :P

Not too bad at all when I finally finished it. What SUX is the carpet, and some of the seats on the sides got paint on em. ALso, as you can see near the feet on the pass side I need to get more paint. basically, I just need more paint. I only got 2 cans. So, I will then do the door and the rear 1/4 panels eventually, Im tired and pissed but at least my headliner turned out great and next time TAKE THE EFFIN DASH OUT when u paint ur car. ugggh. haha

Oh well, Imma take my time and do a little bit by little bit. It looks weird though with grey doors and red dash...so I will prolly paint it sooner than I expect. Now Im going to do the carpet black and the existing pieces (inserts) u see red are going to be white. So I will have white inserts, red dash/door/1/4 panels/pillars....red headliner, white inserts on doors, black carpet. White, red and black. it will look sweet when I finally get it done, but for now it's in its "Uglee growing out" stage haha like a bad haircut. I also took off the gay windshield visor. Lemme know feedback and what to do/not to do. thanks.

I just didnt wanna take the dash out...too much of a hassle...overall not to shabby for a skinny bored white boy home on a sat afternoon :P

you freakin nimnod!! you gotta take that shit out!! take apart the door sills, the lower dash, every piece!! the only part i didnt take out was the main dash. yeah, its a lot of tape and shit. i did it a little at a time. take out a few pieces, paint em, while theyre drying, go take apart some more, etc. the upper part of your dash looks good, but you need to take out the easy pieces and sand them and shit. looks good though. did you use krylon?

let me clear this up for everyone. you can paint the dash in the car (i did three times, perfectly) but you do HAVE to remove all the plastic pieces. leave nothing inside but the vinyl dash. i put a fan by the drivers door so that as i painted it blew the excess out the passenger door. i used 6 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear. dont have ass it

thanks, ya its simple to remove all those lower pieces, but damn im one lazeee mofo so i will slowly remove each piece and paint them. ya the dash itself was easy as hell to do...i need to go over it a few more times anyways then prolly use some clear on it. I think the black carpet idea with all the red and white inserts inside will look pimpizm haf

no offense, but the plastic parts don't look like they match the upper dash, I reccomend re-painting them white or black to contrast. The upper dash probably will be hard to match with the plastics, because it will probably absorb paint.

i used acetone on the dash itself, and soap and water, then lemon fresh spray bottle cleaner, lol.


for the other pieces, lightly sanded and hot water/soap.
