Buying new projectors and just wondered if i should get black with blue ion or chrome with clear. Any ideas/opinions are welcome. And if anyone has pics of their cars with projectors on plz lemme know how to view them. thanks alot.

I just bought the Chrome/clear because in the future I plan on getting actual HID lighting put in and want them to project as accurate as possible. With the ion lenses, they will project a yellowish light due to the coating that they put on the lens. It's like a dichronic coating that will only allow certain wavelengths of light to pass through. Even though the lens is blue it projects yellow.

Just an FYI on lighting. The more yellow the light the more your eyes respond to the color therefore the better you can see the road. Your normal halogens are probably pretty good in the rain and such, and actual fog lights are orange. These colors can cut through precipitation better than the hyper and so called xenon bulbs you can buy. The reason is the way our eyes are responding. Large bodies of clean water have a bluish hue to them, when you put a bluish light onto bluish water you are illuminating the precipitation, not the road. Ask anyone who has hyper lights how well they can see the road when it's raining out and they'll probably say that it's not as good as the halogens that they had. When you get into actual HID lighting, they have a brighter light than the over the counter lights and also are more powerful.

Personally I like the look of the ions when they're off, but with the use of hyper white & "xenon" bulbs, I've heard that they will make the projected light a lighter yellow.

Not that you're going to immediately get hyper bulbs for the lights, but if you do just keep in mind what issues may come up.
