Has anyone done the install using those LED's?...is it basically the same thing as with the ones from Radio Sack?

yes... you just have to make sure that you get the right blue led from radioshack... cat# 276-316 im sure on this for the blue ones, but not sure on the other colors.. the green from radioshack is really bright and so is the red.. just look for "mcd" on the led info. The larger the number the brigher the led.. the only problem is the way the leds are designed and how the hvac is designed.. it will be somewhat dimmer from the stock orange using blue.. but the green is much brighter. and i think the red is brigher too.. the only way i see at solving the dimmer hvac is to somehow get more leds back there..

Do you know the part number for the radioshack green LEDs that I can use for buttons such as the A/C button?

most local places will NOT carry this size bulb, but you can always try anyways..

www.digikey.com any color, any size, any brightness, all in stock, ready to ship, 50-75% cheaper than radioshack, better quality
