12962, Removing the door chime module.. Posted by Hurricane_GS, Jan-26-02 09:49 AM
OK, I know some people like them and some people need them, but I think the little "Lights Are On" dinger is annoying as ish! Please someone tell me where this little bastard is so I can remove it. PLEASE! :) TIA!

glen, pop off the rear quater panels, the one with the 6x9 speaker grill, then look down by the door jamb, there is a white clip with a red and black wire, pop that off and there you go

Yeah but if you take that sensor out then at night your dome lights wont come on. So if that matters to you I would find the relay that the sensor connects to and disconnect it there that way the lights still come on. Xzolian x5z5o5l@earthlink.net (remove the fives to send me an email)

I installed 2 switches to kill the interior lights and chime for when I am cleaning the car. That way I can still have the chime if I want to. There is actually a cheap write up on my site.
