12387, Anybody with a custom gauge...?
Posted by daved, Jan-20-02 09:42 AM
Anybody here have a custom gauge set up in place of their stock in dash gauges. I have so many aftermarket gauges in my car and I don't use any stock gauges anymore so I might as well do something custom. I have a aftermarket tach, water temp, air/fuel, oil pressure, and digital speedo (which I can't get to work I can't find the right sensor!) I am thinkin about makin some kinda of set up in place of the stock gauges all I need to buy is a fuel level gauge. Anybody have this, can anybody picture what I want to do? Good idea or no? Let me know whatcha all think bout this idea.

its a good idea, i thought about doing that cause it would be fairly easy to make a template to hold the gauges, but i liked the idea of having the indiglo gauges and aftermarkets working at the same time.

Check out this custom setup from Road Race's site. I think the guy did it himself though (don't think RRE sells this).

Ya I figured that this will have to be made by myself which is what I want I want something different. My buddy makes custom gauge pods for a-pillers and shit so when I get some time I am going down to see what he can do for me. IMO it shouldn't be that hard but you know how this type of shit goes there is always something that goes wrong.
