I just got these light's the day before yesterday, and I washed the car last night, and when I was rinsing, I noticed that water was just dumping into the centerpiece cause there is a open gap between the space going toward the keyhole (although the stock centerpiece is the same way, this is a bad design flaw in my opinion for $230). Anyway, does everyone have this problem with new tailamp's, and is this the reason why most people get the original centerpiece painted the car's color so they don't have to use the tailamp kit's centerpiece cause of leak's. Does anyone know a fix for this. The centerpiece apparently has drain's at the bottom of it cause the water just came right out, but water dropplet's were trapped inside that I just have to wait to dry on their own.

Heres my opinion on altezzas:

1st - There played out big time
2nd - I had bought APC altezzas and went through 3 pairs, all they did was leak, eventually got my money back
3rd - APC signed a contract with wal-mart which means APC rushes to make there product quickly, this means cheaply made products.
4th - Just about every honda in the world has them.
5th - Paint your stock middle piece the color of your car and put the stock tails back on, it looks bad ass.
6th - If you buy something for $230, they shouldnt leak, thats like buying new tires but there bald

Those are just my views, it's your car do what you want.

you could use silicon to plug those holes

I'll probably go ahead and get both the original center piece painted, and cut a small piece of a silicon hose to run from the lock to the outside of the hole just slightly enough to not be seen easily to block it from water. That way I can just switch up the look of the rear of the car by changing the middle panel's when I want to. Thank's for the help guys.

take them off ans sale them if you can. I got vtech covers. Altezzas leak and will fade to yellow over time. They are the biggest rip off. IMO, something so expensive should not turn to shit like the do.

if you seal them you won't have any problems, what's the big deal with having to spend two dollars and 10 mintues on sealent?
turbo kits cost 2000+ and they usually aren't "plug and play"

I took an o ring from home depot and used a water resistant glue to seal the hole.. I think everything from APC leaks like that....

how is quality of altezza's versus clear lights?

they are all made by the same people, but you won't see any water inside the clear ones, i don't think

I had purchased the 2 piece altezza set from www.altezzalighting.com for my GS, and was fairly happy with the quality. I knew the center pieces leaked so I just didn't even go there. After trading in for GSX I have just left in the stock tail lights.

you can seal them. My altezzas faded tho, on the outside, and the red circular lenses popped out and were close to just rolling around in there. fuck that. They suck really bad besides just leaking.

Mines almost like rolling around n there tooo!! i hate that shit!
