I have the first generation altezzas. I have had them since they first came out way back when. The red lenses are about to fall off so I am going to take them out for good. They look really nice at night but I dont care. I dont think the stock lights look that bad anyway. I kinda like the stock tail lights. I even have a painted center piece that I did my self but that is coming out too. IMO the altezzas are kinda ricey anyway. When they were new they were pretty cool but now EVERYONE has them on every type of car especially on hondas. I have even seen them on trucks. I think it will make myu car more of a sleeper too...well, until they see my FMIC or hear my BOV go off. I still have my AEM license plate cover to make people think I am NA.

Hey Dave I see that your taking out your painted center piece. Wanna sell it maybe? From you sig your car is the same color as mine correct is that center piece the same color as the car? If it is I am interested in buying it. I live in Tampa and I am going to Jacksonville this weekend so I could maybe pick it up so we won't have to deal with all that shipping bull shit. Dave_FL, I totally agree with you. The altezzas IMO actually look really good on the 2G eclipse body style. But when you start seeing them on trucks, SUVs and every riced out Honda, you have to draw the line. Its pretty much guilt by association, everyone thinks we want to look like the IS 300...

I was in the same boat. I had the 1st gens that came out first back in the day. the circle lenses were popping off almost. The "chrome" had what looked like water spots everywhere. The enter leaked. The outside edge turned yellow cuz the chrome spray paint they used faded off. I like the covers I got. They compliment the car pretty good.

The more it looks stock the better, IMO.

Well i just got done taking them off. I love the look of the stock lights. I guess I just wanted a change. I have had them altezzas on my car for a couple years and they were getting old to me. Our stock lights are very nice looking IMO.

I don't blame you Dave. I remember you painting them befoe we went to that car show....what a paine in the a$$ that was. Yeah, I'm happy with the stock light also. Glad you changed back man. I gotta come check your car out sometime....it's looking good!

I mentioned it in another post .....There is another car show on the 2nd of feb. Its at the same place but i am not sure if it is inside this time. Should be even more DSM's this time. I will be there.
