11538, Projectors in a 1995??? Posted by RxR_Eclipse, Jan-07-02 05:21 AM
How hard would this be???? I want projectors but I know there is a difference in the headlight. What would it take to install these in a 95? Would you have to do any work on the fender or just the bumper?

if I am not mistaken, U have to put on the 97-99 front end for those to fit properly, other wise you are goona have a gap between your 95-96 bumper and your projectors..

Ok so the bottom line is.....how much gap are we taling here??? An inch 5 inches or just a few cm. If it makes any difference I was going to put the carbon fiber look head light covers also. Perhaps that would close up the gap>????

about 2 inches on both sides... light covers aren't gonna cut it. it won't look good, trust me. i had to fabricate my front end because it was made for the 97-99 bodystyle. i had to cut about 2 inches off the inside of each headlight spot.

thanks for the info bro. imma write them or call them today.. hell, if they have a store front, i might just give them a visit.. i only live about 15 mins away from the address they had. thanks again.
does anyone know why the projectors for the 95-96s are so impossible to find? how come they make them for the newer 2gs, but ditched the 95-96s? im thinking that there would be a fair amount of 95-96ers that would like to have projectors w/o having to get new bumpers or sacrifice w/ an improper fit... thoughts?

np.. plus i think asylumms had them because i remember the only reason i went with them is because around the time everysite i went to said 95-99 projectors.. im like umm there are 2 diff sizes.. they are all like no theres not.. im like grrrr..
so asylumms did have a 95-99 adn 97-99 so i went with them cuz they was the only place who knew what was up..
anyhow.. i just checked thier site and now it just says 97-99 grrrr

Okey dokey No projectors for RxR_Eclipse! This car is for sale anyway, I just thought it was easier to get a 95-96 GST than a 97+, so I was thinking that I could get the projectors now, but F*&K it. Sounds like too much of a pain in the ass. Thanks for the info guys!

i put the factory lenses on the projector housings, might not look too good with chrome or light-color housings, i have black housings. The headlight cover idea won't work because the 97 have the bubble that the 95 don't. I'mn thinking of getting a 97 bumper for fmic so i might be selling mine.
