11508, Link to Rudora spoiler and hood question
Posted by Dualgen2, Jan-06-02 03:46 PM
Hey I lost the link to the pic of the Rudora spoiler from Japan. Kinda looks like GST wing but better for those of you that haven't seen it. If anyone knows link, who sells it, and price Id appreciate an answer. Also I ordered Predator hood like 5 months ago and now Im getting my $ back cause the person who ordered it for me sucks. I got a good deal though ($425 shipped). Anyone have the Predator hood w/ a turbo? I want to make sure it will fit my car before I try ordering it from someone else. Im not sure if it matters but I have a Stage 2 so the intercooler piping might be in way also. Did anyone have to change the hood a little so it would fit? Thanks

The actual Rudora spoiler is like 800 bucks I think and I believe it requires molding. I haven't seen anyone sell that spoiler in the US. I think you have to order it from Taika Kara (spelling?) and it's about 800 bucks.

If you're talking about the custom spoiler that we sell with the Rudora kit, I have the pics up at my site at http://www.importvenom.com under Feature Cars -> Additional Pictures. I sell the spoiler for 325 plus shipping (approximately 75 dollars for shipping). Below are a couple pics:

Hey eclipse804, does that spoiler cover the stock 3 piece spoiler holes? I might be interested if so.

Hey, that spoiler actually covers all but one of the small holes on each side. It's a good choice if you want to cover up most of the stock holes, and it looks really clean and flush.

It doesn't mount to the quarter panels right? It just overlaps, it mounts only to the hatch? Anyway, I noticed you painted your rims or something, did you get them powder coated or what?

Ya it only mounts in the center hatch, and just overlaps closely on the quarter panels. But I think you need to put a small pad under where the areas on the quarter panels because if you slam your trunk down hard, it may hit the quarter panels (since the trunk can go down lower when you slam it than its resting position).

Oh and ya, I actually just painted my rims gunmetal (cheap $20 solution hehe).

i dont have a turbo but someone said that if you have a turbo the predator hood will not fit because of the timing belt cover on the turbos.. hence the hump in the hood of the eclipse..

its wierd though because i know this guy with a gst and he has it.

some say you can mod the hood to make it fit. or take the cover off.. but you really DONT want to leave the timing belt cover off.. if anything gets caught in there then u got problems.

Thanks for your responses. Ill most likely be ordering that spoiler in future when I get my kit put on. Does Import Venom have a phone # cause I will most likely be ordering it from a store nearby cause I have bad luck ordering from people and websites, except STANS TURBO which was a good buy. Also Im impressed people in here have heard of www.takakaira.com. That site has some expensive stuff on it and Im pretty sure its Rudora kit, which is the only Eclipse kit they have, is simliar to the Kamanari wide body but it cost a lot more. Anyone in here have a different hood on their car besides the carbon fiber w/ the stock bump on it and have the same setup I do? They make so many hoods for every car except ours. O well, Thanks again

If you want to contact me, send me an email and I can give you my number. I do not do sales full time, so we don't have a dedicated line. Also, I wouldn't rip anyone off, especially not a 2gnt member. I've sold various products to a lot of 2gnt members. Also, I think it would be really hard to order locally because as far as I know, we are one of the only ones that have the custom wing and rudora replica kit. I think others in socal may be getting it, but not anywhere else as far as I know. Thanks.

the predator hood will fit all 420a equipped eclipses turbo or not but not a turbo 4g63 eclipse. but if you put one on a turbo 420a eclipse better put a heat shield on it cause lindsey(cyan) said it will mess up the paint on the underside of the hood. or at least i believe it was him who said it.

You got a pic of that Rudora replica? and how much is it. Although I already have Blitz kit in garage I hate that everyone around here has the kit. Dont get me wrong, its a nice kit, but I like to be orgional like my dual exhaust which I have only seen once in person on a GST. Maybe someone would buy BLitz and I could get another kit but I doubt it cause I got a pretty good deal on Blitz and I doubt anyone will give me a good amount of $ for it. O well I would still like to know prices just in case. Thanks

Hey, they won't let us sell any piece of the rudora kit for less than 325. So it's 325 for each bumper, or a pair of skirts. But if you get the complete kit, it's 900 (without the wing though). This does not include shipping on a full kit, which is usually 175 due to the extreme size and weight. Here are couple pics - The kit is a replica of the Rudora except you don't have to pay $3000 for it(more pics are at http://www.importvenom.com under Feature Cars -> Additional Car Pictures -> page 2).
