Just curious because the body shop mentioned 2 sided tape but they didnt see the skirts yet. Give me opinions. Also how much will the charge just to install?

I wouldn't try to do mine without holes. They might fall off somehow. My general rule, if it can go wrong, then it probably will. I'd say drill atleast a hole front and back. Maybe zip tie it on thru the hole. I think someone did that as a time saver.

What kind of skirts are they? On most, yes you should drill one or two holes in each fender well, and then a few under the door where it opens. Most aftermarket skirts could not be help on with double sided tape, and mine doesn't use any double sided tape, only screws.

I have a GS, so i don't know for sure, but...

When my ex room mate ran over my car and removed my stock sideskirt and doorstop, i had to remove it so i could at least limp my car home. The only thing that holds the top half of the skirt to the car are plastic clips that go into holes drilled into that body panel. All the bolts are along the bottom inside edge of the skirt (and i'm not sure you'd have provisions for those, either) After it was replaced it didn't fit quite right so they wanted to use double sided tape to keep the upper corner from backing away and creating a gap.. lets just say it worked for about a day.

If you want to do it right, IMO, drill.

I had stock skirts put on my rs. The guy that did it said it was a pain in the ass because the factory gromets in the skirts do not have a lot of play so they had to match up with the holes perfectly. YES lots of holes I wanna say about 12 per side and thats not including the doorcaps. charged me $200 but looks so much better! If I was you I would go for an aftermarket skirt they will be easier to install

i got the stock ones and the holes were pretty easy to drill. you just need some common sense. its just a matter of measuring and marking correctly. the grommets work pretty well
