They had to.. in order to make the RSX tails fit. This is gonna be the baddest rear conversion ever done on an Eclipse when it's over. The lights only cost 190.00 at the dealer each.. but I got both of them for only 230.00. I still have much much more work to do in the meantime. My engine bay is all taken apart for chroming.. I ended up getting some cheap ass 18" Konig Imagines (enkie Aegis was a little too pricy for me). I got the Aerogear rear for hella cheap.. . I'm molding in some custom sideskirts. New steering wheel .. pair of blue Tenzo Rally racing seats which are going to be re-wrapped in white.. Still haven't bolted in my roll cage yet (it bonks me in the dome whenever I accelerate too hard). Got new tokico's for the front so I could finally put my V-specs in. Fuck AGX shocks.. they blow out too easily if you lower less than 1.75". Bolted in my OBX short shifter today.. I love that shit. Carbon fiber hood is done.. just need to pick it up. Got my cartech regulator off of Ebay so I could put in my Accel 38lb./hr. injectors. And to top it off.. I'm sponsored by MA audio who is gonna take my car at the end of Jan. in order to do a full A/V makeover.. so I'm selling my Audiobahn 1200X's soon. For those who compete in shows.. you're going to have some major competition from //935DRAGGERS.. the other eclipses in my crew have R32 and R33 tailight conversions. And we did a Lancer EVO conversion on one of our mirages with a JDM 4G63. Blah blah blah.. an shit.

Actually I don't really care because I hardly even drive my eclipse at all anymore since I got the VTEC CRX. I just let me Eclipse sit while it's being worked on like a work of art. No photoshopped previews.
