Just got the thing a couple days ago and was wondering if there is any special way of installing it. I'm trying to avoid going to a pro, just to say I did it myself (personal satisfaction). Since its made of fiberglass, I didn't want to drill holes in it and mount it. I was wondering if there is any way to keep the holes I drill from expanding. ex. If drilled holes in it, then screwed it in, will the fiberglass crack and make the holes bigger ruining the piece?

If I could get a step walkout that would be great.

Honestly, I would just take it to a shop. If you drill wrong, you'll have to get it redone. And in the worst case, you may even need to have a shop put more fiberglass to cover up the holes you made. If you want to save yourself money, take off your front bumper yourself. Then just have the shop drill the holes for the kit. So they don't have to waste a couple hours trying to get your stock bumper off.

Take a ribbet gun and ribbet a metal piece on to the bottom of the edges of the bumper, where the fiberglass meets the fender. After you ribbet the metal to the fiberglass make wholes through the metal on to the fender and that will stop the wholes from expanding on the fiber glass..Worked for me and its very easy.BTW, dont use screws, use bolts with lugnuts to tighten the bumper on to the fender and that will never come of untill u want it to..hope it helps

You mean take the bumper off at my house and drive to the shop without one on??

Ya sure, and if a cop sees you just say you got in an accident and are taking it to the shop. Or, if the shop will let you, take the bumper off at the body shop.

washers on both sides would probally do a good job or distributing the pressure and prevent cracking.
I'd just take it to a body shop. Since they're probally going to rape you to paint it, maybe you can have them put it on cheap if you take the old one off in the lot for them. It's pretty simple and will take you about a 1/2 hour/45 min. to get it off if you've never done it before. Just take it off one time for shits and giggles at your house so you'll know where all the bolts and screws and stuff are before you bring your car down there.
