Carbon fiber is carbon fiber. But that's an ugly ass hood.

You have to get some closeups of the weave, and find out how thick of fiberglass they used on the underside. I dunno, don't think anyone has it.

I just looked. Fuck that hood. Notice the gaps all around it. Shit doesn't fit right. You can tell if u look a little closer. I wish they made a fiberglass one like that with a wider scoop.

"Carbon fiber is carbon fiber," not all true, you get what you pay for when it comes to a CF hood. Cheap $200 ones are likely gonna have a loose weave and be very thin, where as a nice $400+ one will be thick and heavy (in density not weight) and the weave will be nice and tight. Carbon fiber isn't just carbon fiber.

who the hell sells 200.00 dollar carbon fiber hoods? I spend much time at streetweapon where they fabricate body parts out of carbon fiber such as my hood. It's always done right and it's always extremely durable. That's the only carbon fiber I know. So I'm thinkin.. if someone custom made that particular hood.. it must be strong because it sure as hell isn't mass produced. it's so ugly it should be against the law to have it on your car. you could get arrested for that ish.

yes CF is not just CF.. CF comes in grades.. the better the grade the more it costs.. cheap CF is just crap.. just remember you get what you pay for.. not always true but most of the time it is

What options do we have as far as hoods go? I want something that isn't exact oem style, I don't really want the aerogear 6 vent hood. PIcs will be good too. If not, then links. TIA.
