Had a rainy day last year and ran to the eclipse to put top UP. Pouring down hard too, so of course the top decided to get stubborn and get me drinched on the way home. Had to use the manual override all the following nice hot days from then on. Until i took out the center console to mess with the cigar liter. I discovered that the parking brake safety mechanism for the top (keeps you from dropping the top unless your in PARK w/Parking brake engaged), had all kinds of crud..debris...rust around and on the contacts, so i cleaned up the junk, and NOW THE TOP WORKS RIGHT.. with-out doing it manually.
