I have a 1995 eclipse RS running on MS1 full standalone. Car is up and running (for the most part haha), but obviously I lost a few features as a result of ditching the factory ecu. I have my windshield wipers wired in, an external regulator, and don't really care about my reverse lights. The main thing I do want to try to get working again are my turn signals. I have absolutely none of the factory harness left in the engine bay, none. Nor do I have a spare factory ecu even if I have the factory harness. So would be wiring in turnsignals be a complete bitch? even possible? Has anyone done this before that can possibly share wome input?

So you don't have a fusebox under the hood? With the entire engine harness removed you should have no problems with the turn signals/headlights

Thats the thing. My headlights, foglights,parking lights, brakelights and highbeams work. I can't figure out why the turnsignals don't work. haha

Then you either have a bad flasher or have unplugged it or the fuse is blown. The flasher is behind the radio to the upper right hand side.

how can I tell if the flaher is bad.

Is it plugged in?



If not then that is your problem, if so then start checking for fuses, if all the fuses are good then get your dvom out and start checking for power at the flasher etc as the fsm/haynes describes.

Ok, I found the box, unplugged it, and re-plugged it in to make sure it was in. Still nothing I pulled all the fuses from the interior fuse box, and all good. I'm thinking maybe since I eliminated alot of the factory harness, maybe I eliminated the ground for the flasher box(?) without knowing. However, I didn't notice a black wire on the harness running to the flasher box. Is the ground wire for it a differant color then black?

It does have a ground connection but I couldn't tell you the wire color from memory. It's shown in the OEM manual schematics with the connector info. I can't look that up while at work.
