Now that I'm living in Georgia, I'm starting to understand the fun that is the hot weather. So I've been toying with the choices of air conditioning or installing a sunroof. I know installing a/c in a royal pain, but the only option for a sunroof is OEM. Any ideas on what would be the best, simplest option that would cause the least amount of problems? I know leaking will not an issue with the factory sunroof because of the drain hoses, but are there any other problems with the sunroofs that came from the dealer?

Installing a sunroof will be much more of a PITA than installing a/c,... just my .02

If I get the oem sunroof, I was thinking of getting it installed by a body shop. That's something I don't feel like doing myself.

What do I need to complete an a/c install? Do I need another box for the interior where the heater core is?

Last time I remember pulling the headliner from a non-sunroof car, there wasn't any of the mounts for where the sunroof goes. If you were to try and put a stock sunroof in a non-sunroof car, not only would you have to cut the roof, but weld in the mounts as well

If the car just had the AC removed at one point I bet that you just need a compressor and condensor. Maybe the hard lines from the firewall too. The only cars I've heard of people pulling the evaporator on were race cars that they were already pulling the dash.

exactlly, the roof is completely different with no provisions for a sunroof, and it sounds like someone may have previously removed the engine bay a/c componenets from your car.....i have extras if your interested

its not going to be worth the cost to install a sunroof, as compared to a/c
