Anyone know what measurements of the Galant VR4 Mirrors are? Reason why I ask is because I have been doing some research on them along with the Mirage mirrors and noticed after ordering a folding Mirage mirror in that it is exactly identical to the Euro mirrors that many people are looking to get.

My thoughts are that if the Galant Mirrors mounting area measures the same as ours, there is a good possibility that many people could order the Galant mirrors that fold electronically for our cars. Makes it a lot easier for those who want the Euro mirrors to get them for our cars.

Interesting. I bought a set of Mirage mirrors because of the same exact reason but I must have gotten the wrong ones because they didn't fit. And than I kind of gave up on it.

Like to see how this turns out.

The ones I found were off a 94-95 model mirage with the folding power mirrors. I matched them with the Euro ones I have and they match up. I found a set of JDM Galant VR4 power folding mirrors and they looked like the Euro Eclipse ones. I'll double check the mirage ones just to make sure on the years.

Any new info on this?

Unfortunately no, not yet. I will though order one from the local parts store, I know a guy there who will order one in for me to compare them so that I can make sure that the mirage ones will fit. I'll pm you when I find out. I hope that maybe someone knows someone who has the Galant VR4 ones and can try them out cause ebay has a set with the switch.

I had no idea that the Mirage mirrors were power folding. You would think they would have something like that on an eclipse and not a "lower" model car like the mirage.

All the civic guys kill to have the JDM"NESS" power folding mirrors on their rides, lol, i think it would be totaly ironic if the most non JDM "import" ever had one of the most coveted JDM options ever, besides the Type "arrrr", and it was as easy to get as power windows. lol

I read a huge thread on honda-tech trying to wire a relay to fold the mirrors in when you turn the car off and fold out when you turn it on. Never did find out if they figured it out.

Would be nice to have folding mirrors period, electric would be a plus. I saw a pair of "EDM" mirrors for sale long time ago but was turned off by the high price tag.

That is all in the wiring of the switch. If the JDM Galant VR4 Mirrors will fit, I'll be able to see if it will not only fold in and out when you turn on and off the car but also by control of the mirror switch. They look like they will fit but I gotta see and that was my big question about them. I'm waiting for a Mirage one to come in so I can check it against my EDM mirrors I have, which will put many a step closer to getting a similar style to the EDMs.

Ok check out the mirage mirrors and noted that while one bolt lines up, the other a little off. So with that being said, a little fabrication would be in need to drill a couple holes in the mounting bracket. Not only that, but the piece that sits flush against the rubber molding is also shorter. So I wouldn't chance it to say the least. Unfortunately the next part is a tough one. Since I've ruled out partially the mirage mirrors, it still leaves the galant mirrors to chance it. I am curious as to if Galant mirrors will fit or not. So part one is done but now part two is under way.

What's funny is there were a bunch of edm parts on ebay, mostly 1g. There was a set of 2g taillights on ebay that, when I last checked it, were up to $820 plus 200 shipping. I felt bad and was going to sent messages to the bidders to tell them that machv.com has them for 500 but the auction was over.

I am still trying to track the VR4 mirrors but right now funds are limited so it'll be a bit before I can order them. I will get a mirror for the galant and see if they fit and if modifying them is required then I'll post what needs to be done to make them fit.
