102839, Center Console SRS-ECU

I'm removing my center console next weekend to install an oil pressure gauge and ScanGauge II. The removal is straight forward but my manual cautions not to disturb (bump) the SRS-ECU. Makes sense but it is not shown in my manual. Can anyone tell me where it is so I can avoid it? Does it just jump out at you or is it something tricky you need to know before sliding the console around & out? Thanks.

i think you can bump it because i think mine would have been messed up by now from all the pot holes and other things.

You will be able to see it as soon as you take your console out. Don't worry about bumping it. Just don't mess with it unless you know wht your doing that's all.

Removing the console wont mess with the SRS box. It sits right under the armrest.

If your real concerned about, disconnect your battery for ten minutes before you start.

Always disconnect the - terminal when wiring ofcourse, you will see it right under the console. I have 'bumped' mine before, no issues, just leave it alone IMO
