102167, Power Sunroof Problem
Posted by zwickyj, Feb-19-08 06:14 AM
I have what appears to be an anfter market sunroof on my RS. It has not powered since I baught the car and was wondering what steps would I take to fix it. I have Connected power and grounds to the leads on the motor and the motor works, from here I don't know where to go with it. I also stuck one of the lights where if power is present it lights up and nothing happens. I don't know how many fuses there usually are, but the one in the lower kick panel I replaced.

I to have what I have been told and aftermarket sun roof.

You said that you applyed power to the motor did you check the switch it's self, or bypass it to the motor.

It should only have one fuse (was it burnt out)if aftermarket the it should be an inline fuse, also did you check power at the fuse, if you have a test light check the supply (hot) side of the fuse holder if you have power there then check the power at the switch, if yours is like mine its mounted on the roof under the sunroof motor the switch might have burnt out.

Hope this helps some
