My windor in my driver door is bugging the sh!t outa me. If the window is not all the way up it rattles and even if it is all the way down it rattles... not only when I open/close the door, but I can hear it when going down the street. I havent taken it apart to look for it yet, but is there something that I need to tighten down somewhere or do i need new weather stripping? Anyone with this prob?

yeah take the door panel off and the plastic inside and you will see the clips that hold the window in the track, you can tighten the screws or bend the clips a bit, thatl help it

I did the 2G rattle fix too. It helped a little, but I think the problem is a problem that can't be solved. It's my theory that the window is designed to have some play in it, because if it didn't it would probably shatter every time that the door closed. Damn frameless windows...

Me too. It comes and goes. I think it's one of those metal clips that holds the plastic side panel cover in.

I know when I bought my car it didn't do this...now it does. I tried to do the fix but it didn't work. I think it has to do with the top of the door where the gasket is.

Ok guys,

I am not sure if someone has already posted this but if not, then I WIN!

I found the fix for the window rattle while taking apart my door panel today.
If you take the door panel off, you will see several bolts along the top You want to look for the 2 pairs that have a hex shape in the middle of the stud.
With the panel removed, you will next need to remove the inside trim (not the outside one)
This can be done with a screw driver but be careful not to bend it while taking it off (be patient) or it will not sit right when you install it again

Once the trim is off you will be able to see inside the door. Look down and you will see 2 guides with some felt padding on them. What you need to do next is loosen the 4 nuts that hold those guides on the door but do NOT remove then nuts all the way out. Next take an allen wrench and turn the studs counter clockwise a little at a time. If you look down into the door while you do this you will see that the felt pads are moving closer to the glass. Do this with both guides a little at a time until they are both touching the glass. DO NOT push in too much or you might damage the glass. As you adjust the guides, they will push the glass against the pads on the outer trim holding it snug between the two.

Roll the window up and down occasionally while you make the adjustments until you no longer have all that play in the glass. Once you have the guides where you want them, tighten the nuts so that the studs are no longer loose.

Install the inside trim, door panel and TADA!!!!! NO MORE RATTLE

My windows would rattle like crazy especially when rolled down but not anymore...

Enjoy!

I need to look into this. I can't roll down my drivers side window without it going all outta wack and having to hold it in place while rolling it back up.

I tried both Remedies and they seemed to work good in Combination, although the little Plastic Clip on the Drivers Side popped off when I lowered it all the way. Damn.
