Vinyl,yes...total time about 32 hours total cost 50 bucks for vinyl and thread!!

BTW, did the embroidery myself too, see anything is possible....that semester of mandatory home ec in middle school came in handy.

hey carrie looks good. i was going to do mine.. but then i got rid of the seats and bought my racing ones.. well i gave my seats to my boy.. so if you wanted to make some money.. i really doubt u would.. i can ask if he would pay you to do them.. but i was just gonig to do them with him but hes poor so i doubt ud ever get no cash.. i should of saved my back seats damn. i could of had you do them or give me some tips..

Yes if you had the patterns still you could probably cut the time down to only a few hours or less for the fronts and make some big cash. Im sure you could easily charge $150 for the fronts.

The seats were a bi-otch!!!! to do. I really apprecitae all the offers of money to hook ya up but I feel there is no amount of money that would make me do it again,especially for someone elses ride. I know what I am willing to accept and to someone else that might not be good enuff(no what I mean?)

They were not necesarily(sp?) hard but time consuming. Hell I went to a show in Panama City Beach this weekend and had at least 5 offers for upholstery work...hmmmmm makes ya kinda think (5 @ $250 for F&R=1250 towards turbo....naw Ill save up)

BTW, If any is brave enuff to try it, do this....

-remove the seat covering from the seat (lots of little metal rings that keep the seat pulled tight to the foam)
-use a seam ripper to separate all the pieces of the cover and iron them flat
-lay the pieces out and trace on vinyl or whatever U gonna use and cut,match and sew....sounds easy
-then I used zip ties in place of all those metal rings and voila`!

Shitty walkthrough but you get the point just be prepared to dedicate all your spare time for at least three days to this project.Now I see why pros dont use lube when they give it to us!Have fun.

you can go to most fabric stores and get it.. chuck no problem man i wouldnt want to do it either its not worth it.. for the time concern.. yea they are a pain to get all them staples outt..

i undid one seat and it was a pain.. had it all taken apart.but then my room was filled with all these car parts so we put them in a garage and i chucked the back seat... i was going to re do it just so i knew how and what not.. to practice.. i have the headrest i guess ill just practice on them.. i just hate vinyll too hot in the fl sun..

don't take this the wrong way..... but the front seats look like the vynal is a lil lose could be the pics but the back seats...OMG they look amazing but all in all it looks good man. definetly better than I could have done on my own. maybe I should take a sowing class.....NAH

Ya I agree the front seats look a little loose. Could be tighter, but still looks awesome for a DIY job. Hey jeff, learn how to sew, and you can make seat covers for all of us as a living haha...you coming down to LA over the holidays?

But seriously the seats are tight, its just that the drivers seat was done about two weeks apart from the rest of the interior, and hasnt had time to conform to the foam,and also the sun helps to set the vinyl....pictures really dont do it justice.

How much vinyl did you use??? they look really good..

they always have racing on fri nights.. most of FWBusually goes up there on fri.. sunday is always test and tune as usuall..nothing new.. 7 to watch and ride.. 15 to race.. not sure whos all gonig prob some of my club and matrix is usually up there.. well see a lot of there guys are TDY now

so you took the original seat covers off and attached the new ones with the little metal things on the bottom?

well ok not EXACTLY!! but damn close to it i used zip ties instead and it was a lot easier... those damn metal rings were a bitch to take off much less even contemplating trying to reuse them.
