When i bought my car the front bumper was not painted the mirrors and top of the car are all fading...so i guess its about that time.

is it possible to just paint the parts of the car that need to be painted and still have it match the rest of the car when its done.
the rest of the car looks really good as far as the paint.

How much paint do you think ill need?

also the paint id tag undeneath the hood is unreadable
my car is a dark green matallic

ive looked it up online and i come up with two different paint colors for a '95 eclipse

one is everrett green mattalic
the other is emerald green pearl
i also came up with paint code g36 which is the emerald green pearl

i really dont want to spray the wrong color

any one know which one it might be?

For a bumper, mirrors and a roof on a 2g, 2 qts of paint will get you safely through that.

As far as matching, you can paint them off the car but your going to know that everything was not faded. To do it right, you would paint the whole roof and just blend it into the hatch, the bumper you would blend into the fenders about 6-8" through and the mirrors you wouldnt have to worry about anything else.

Also, you can call the dealer and give them your VIN# and they can look up the proper paint code number for you.

How do you "blend" it in with the paint that is already there?

My step dad mentioned there is a place near by that take a scan of the paint already on the car so it matches 100% to the paint that is on the car.

say you need to paint your fender. you'll need 3/4 coats of paint. on the last few coats, you will spray farther onto the door with each coat so there is not a solid transition from new paint to old paint.
just get the paint code from the dealer via the vin number.
