Fuck me in a goats ass.

I had to remove my hood hinge to slot the holes to get my hood to fit right and when I installed it, I forot to hook up the release cable to it!!! Well, I shut the damn hood last night and now I cant get it back open.

Does anyone know any freaking tricks on how to get the hood back open without the fucking cable?

omg i actually cired laughing . . . only cuz if it like me locking keys in the car where you are actually semi conscience of the fact that you dont have keys as your shutting the door. the insuing dance storm of cussing must have been a sight to see.

Unfortunately I haven't had this problem but I have locked the keys in the car several times. sadly it takes me longer to bend a coathanger to the right shape than it does to get the car open.

Last time I locked my kets in the car I took the antenna off, slid it through the window and hit the lock switch :)

Get it from underneath is possible..

or just cut a "radiator vent hole" in the bumper and just slap some grill mesh behind it when your done :)

My vote is still for going underneath, squeezing between the rad and motor...

Well, between the radiator and the motor happens to be a big ass sc61 turbo in the way! And between the radiator and and bumper, seems to be a big ass intercooler.

I have access to the lever that you pull up on to lift the hood open after it is popped from inside the cab. Anyway you think I could pry on that fucker and it would pop?

I just drank a Monster. I going to calm down, get pumped the fuck up, go outside, take 15 minutes and figure it out.

By the time I come back in, I will have the hood open with nothing damaged or broken.

Have a friend sit in the cab, pull/hold on the latch from the cab. Either go underneath between the radiator/bumper or lfit up on the hood while your buddy holds the latch from inside.


If its similar to our gas tank lid this should work. I have similar problem with my gas lid but have after i had someone pull the tank lid while I pulled the lever from inside it popped open. Noticed the latch on tank lid was bent so I bent it back prob fixed.

Didnt think about the turbo, and I believe that that lever will pop the whole hood...

Monster is the shit.

Here is the steps taken:

1. Drink Monster Energy drink.

2. Go to garage and tell the car : "GO FUCK YOURSELF"

3. Dig in your rediculous amount of money spent on tools (since I am an auto tech)

4. Jackpot. You find your most favorite socket... A Snap On 10mm swivel 1/4 socket. Put socket on extension. Put a universal 1/4 wobble on the extension. Feed the extension and socket up over the intercooler and below the top of the front bumper and get that fucker on the bolt. Grab your $400 Matco impact driver. Drive both 10mm nuts off.

5. Lift up hood with latch attatched to it.

6. Walk away and say : "Fuck Yeah bitch."

7. Punch yourself in the nose.

8. Take pics for everyone on 2gnt to laugh at you.

9. Go back outside and IMMEDIATELY attatch release cable and proceed to punch yourself in the nose again.
