I got a bit of a problem, I'm going to be having 5 gauges for a turbo set-up. I'm putting 3 in a gauge pod then I don't know where to put the other two. They are autometer C2 gauges. I want a way to mount them in the bottom leftish side of the windshield.

You guys got any ideas?

How about the normal dual gauge cluster pod?

I'm also going to run 5 gauges - 4 autometers and 1 AEM wideband. I'm custom making a 5 gauge pod that holds all 5 gauges next to each other in a sideways "V" formation on the a pillar. It looks awesome and allows every gauge to be at the same distance from your eyes, and reduces clutter (I'm not a fan of having gauges everywhere - in the vents, underneath radio, behind stearing wheel, cigarette lighter - looks tacky IMO.)

I'm not going to mass produce these, but that may give you an idea if you'd like to fiberglass your own.

Check out the Summit site. You should be able to find gauge cups for mounting on the dash. Otherwise, it's time to consider the cluster pod or making a custom pod where the factory tweeter went.

Keep in mind, if there are a couple you really don't need to watch ALL the time, like oil and fuel pressure, you can install them down below the radio as a last resort. Simple, easy, redundant and the same thing.

thanks for the responses guys. I think Im going to end up with three autometer gauges and just buy my bros old saga gauges and mount them on the dash.

i got a 2" hole saw and cut out the plastic around the cig lighter and the 52mm gauge just poped in.

for the din setup below the stereo i used an HKS Din panel Type-A.
now if you look at the specs it sez its for a 46mm gauges and 2 HKS electronic modules, (there is a Type-B out as well that will fit 3 46mm gauges in the din slot) well if your REAL careful you can enlarge the hole to 52mm. ( i uses a CNC milling machine to make my hole so results and accuracy may varry)
52mm is the larges this will fit as it brushes the metal bracket of the HKS panel, plus during mounting the bezel barely clears the bottom of the gauge.
this holds my Fuel pressure gauge and the Super-AFC and the IPM and looks very clean to boot. (my AIC-III, Fan controller, EVC-VI, and TT are mounted elsewhere, but there yanked for the moment while i redo my turbo setup hehe :evilgrin)

i actually got mine from HKS directly but they stoped selling them directly shortly after the 2005 catalog came out, but you can still find them once in a while on EBay though

$38 and it fits around the stock gauge cluster while holding two additional gauges. It isn't tacky, it doesn't clutter anything, and it is easy to read while driving down the highway.

I threw a Temp gauge and a Voltage gauge in there and called it a day.

i have that one too and it workes well, pain to route certin gauges though.

i used that one so i dont have any gauges on my A-piller

I'd put afr/boost/egt on the a pillar and whatever else where you have room. (custom din panel or a replacement cluster bezel with gauge provisions for instance)


That's just me though. I want my tuning gauges in my face and i want my troubleshooting gauges where they'll fit without tacking up my interior or taking away from something else. It may not be original or "trick" but it works and it's smart.

Yeah i already have a pillar that holds three (boost,oil pressure, Exhaust temp) but i need to add another for like water temp and something else. Thanks for the url

I say go for the replacement bezel for the factory one. I think it sorta looks like it belongs there
