Hey guys.
Well, after doing tons of search's on the internet, I can't find anything to really help.

I have a 96 Talon that I'd like to swap all my signals and tail lights to LEDs.

However, I think when I change the turn signals I'm going to have the fast flashing problem.

Now, I think there are 2 options,
Option one is hooking up resisters to each light, which I'd rather not do.
Option two is to replace the stock flasher with a LED flasher.
But I can not find anywhere that can tell me what flasher I would need to replace it.
My car is currently being built and is not running, and right now not the easiest thing to be checking the flasher unit.

Has anyone else changed the flasher unit when using leds?
OR, as a last resort, the resister idea?

do a search, azdave and ez both have done awesome jobs on their tails with leds.

also head over to HID Planet and lookup their writeups in the led forums

You can't change the flasher unit out. It runs the brake lights as well as the turn signal lights. If you disconnect it or bypass it, you lose your break lights.

Actually, since he has a Talon he should be able to just change out the flasher to a special no-load flasher. It will either be a 2-prong or 3-prong but I don't have a Talon here to check.

The Talon has dedicated amber turn signals so they don't use the complicated black box that Eclipses do in the US. I assume Eclipses sold in Europe actually have the Talon tail light wiring since they too have dedictaed amber turn signals.


One of these two smaller flasher will likely work. The Eclipse guys are stuck with the big black box.

Thanks, this is why I didn't reply to the others as I could tell they were refering to an Eclipse and I knew the Talons had to be different due to the tail lights and signal setups.

Why dont you just buy a set of Spyder lights? They are star shaped and fold to go inside the like then open up.

So does anyone know the part # for this piece?
My car isn't accesible right now, but where it's being built I'd like to take him the proper pieces to have installed.

I don't have a Talon to go look at the blinker box nor do I have a Talon wiring schematic. It is likely the small black blinker with three prongs in the pics above but you will have to pull out the old one first to be sure.

Ok, Thanks anyways.
At least I know I don't have that black box to fight with.
