I have a VIS CF oem hood, didn't install it yet because its Winter very cold in OH.

How can I use my stock wiper nozzle with my carbon hood. I've pictures of DSm's with carbon hoods but haven't seen the sprayer to clean the windshield. Also about the wiper arm for the carbon hatch, plus adding the hood pins. I already got a response how to for the hood pins. But I would like to use my stocker nozzles with Vis Hood when the install comes.

Why isn't there a write up in the wiki for adding Hood pins on a CF Hood, Instal wiper nozzles on a CF hood or instal the wiper arm on a CF Hatch. Sorry about the Newb questions I know we should use the search for these, I just thought they would be useful for the write ups for our cars.

Wiper nozzles in my opinion are over rated, you don't need them. With that being my opinion if you want them then you will have to drill some more holes in the hood. I don't have any and I have the oem hood mainly because they wont stay in(solid mounts vibrated them loose) but I haven't had the washer jug for a couple of years. Its not in the Wiki now but if you do do it then take some pics and put it in the Wiki. Hood pins are a must with a carbon hood but the nozzles are completely up to you. Do you want to drill more holes in the hood or not?

This doesn't help you, but I would leave out the rear wiper, keep the nozzles up front, it couldn't be too hard.

you could mount the nozzles right on the wiper itself.
my chevy 2500 has them right on the wiper arm so it sprays as it sweeps.

the nozzles dont have to be in the stock location as the jets themselves are aimable so you could mount them on the wiper cowl itself and aim them till the spray pattern is how you want

you could even put then in the cowl and just reaim the little jets with a pick.

Drilling the CF hood is the only way to make them fit. As for the rear wiper....make sure the hatch will accept the motor on the bottom side before you go drilling through it. I would leave the wiper out.

It will look clean as fuck without the rear wiper or the squirters.

never thought about that "Cowl" thanks Terry. wiper arm won't be installed for CF hatch,saving for the carbon hatch later

Good call on not putting thewiper on the hatch. I shaved the rear wiper and squirter over a year ago and have never once wished I had it. And I do live in Ohio.

CF hoods are fine in winter. Nothing will happen to it. I've driven mine for two years, as has my friend.

As for nozzles, the CF hood I have came with holes for wiper nozzles. However, the stocker's didn't fit in there well at all, and the holes on top and bottom didn't line up the best. I went out to CT, bought the chrome ones with lights. I then ripped off the wires for the lights, taped off the actual squirter portion, then spray-painted the nozzles with black tremclad. I then had to dremel the hole on the bottom of the hood a bit wider, but it fit in after that. I used a small amount of silicone to ensure that it stayed mounted (and that if I wanted, I could remove them without damaging the hood).

I dont know if you knew or not, but once you 'modify' the hood, it voids all the warranty on it except for hood pins.

Also, you must not have a true VIS hood, because all VIS hoods come predrilled for wiper components.

I'll take a picture of my hood Its still wraped up. It does have ViS plastic wrap and the ViS stamp next to the hood latch. Omg. I paid 600 for this hood, Thanks for the tip

Dont drill the hood, if you have to. Look into putting them on the wiper cowl. Or go to a junk yard and get a set off of a older model chevy, theres attach right to the wiper arm...they work and they dont look crappy, kind of more hidden.
