I love the OEM look, but the back bumper just seems to lack something to me. So I played around with the idea in MS Paint and this is what I came up with...

I think it looks great in the pics, but I would be more interested to see what it looks like when done. But the real question then would be who would want to spend the money on the body work for somethin that they may not like when it's done. Just my .02.

Personally, I would not do it, It would just rid my car of the only part that does not scrape every where, whats why us (or at least me) lowered 2gnters back into every where, so your front bumper doesn't scrape. When ever you go over a big bump you'll scrape, when ever they tow your car, the stock bumper already scrapes when they are pulling it onto the flat bed, that thing would rip off the car, when you go up a steep hill it will most probably scrape.

if you want to put somthing on the rear to "lower" the look, why not make it some what functinal and make a Diffuser for it?
you could do it out of carbon it would match your look
or you could made it out of fiberglass then paint it red.

from the sides you could round the trailing edge of the vertical slats to make it match the roundness of the rear bumper.
while from the rear it would drop it enough to make it look "lower"

you dont have to go extreme with it either, just enough to add the look and give it some depth.
especially if you dont want to be scraping things

just to give you ideas as the 350Z has the same type of rear problems we do. some companies can do a nice job of making it look good others make it turn out boxy, and if your trying to keep it smooth id go with somthing like this

I never back up over stuff. Just take it at an angle, I hardly EVER scrape and I'm lowered almost 2 inches. Also, just have 3 bolts holding the bumper underneath the hood and zip tie the sides up. Takes about 1-2 min to remove it if you need to tow then.
