Hello, my dashboard light and rear lights not working, im hoping is just a fuse but they worked fine last night. break light and headlights work fine.. any tips thanks in advance..

Well, i would say check the fuses and get back to us? sounds like you just blew a fuse for some reason or another.

^^^ Double check the fuses, but if that doesn't turn anything up, make sure the dimmer switch is plugged in. Not that they have a habit of coming undone, but the power goes through the dimmer to the gauges etc..

Or maybe you just rubbed the dimmer switch with your knee and turned off the lights. :shrug it happened with my mom and her zx2

gonna probably be a fuse if you're running lights are out... make sure to find out why it blew instead of just throwing another in. Then check your tail/running light relay (engine bay box, lower right location)

I'm having the same exact problem. I went outside to roll my window up and I turned the key on and turned the switch to parking light, I heard the fuse blow and my instrument panel lights and taillights went out. It kind of stumped me b/c the instrument panel lights went with the taillights. I checked the 15 amp taillight fuse in the engine bay and it was blown, but all the other ones are fine. I'm guessing it will either be a short between the fuse box and the connectors for the instrument panel or the wires to the taillights? I didn't know they were wired both in series. Is there a particular place where they might short at or do I have to check the whole wire harness in between?

99.9% of the time when your instrument lights in the dash and the marker lights in the rear quit it is caused by poor wire installation of:
-aftermarket gauges
-headunit
-alarm
-etc.

I help a lot of guys trouble shoot this exact same problem and I have yet to find where it was ever anything other than poor wiring of add-on accessories, either by them or a former owner.

The main culprits are any devices that are illuminated and dimmed through the OEM dimmer, thus requiring tapping into the illumination circuit.

Once you have accidently grounded the illumination circuit, you pop the fuse and kill all those lights in one easy step.
