Have you ever pulled carpet out? the glue is almost the same color as rust and really looks similar in photos. give the kid a break. Tux - do a few more coats of your paint and dye, if it shows light and splotchy in flash photos it WILL fade easier and much quicker.

Was I derogatory in any way to him? In fact im pretty sure that I said right below that "Good job so far, just improve on some things!".

And yes I have pulled carpet, and mine had no rust colored substance all over the place.
