Mmmmmm...PocketLogger. I loved it even on OBD-II. The shit you 1G people can do with them is even tastier.

Why not wait a few more weeks for 1G DSMlink?
I actually know a local guy who seels some pretty good logging packages. Give me a min and I'll get you a link.
I use pocketlogger but if I had other options than to pay $175, I would've. Too bad I'm obd2 and my choices were limited...
ok, here you go: http://www.dsmloggers.com

you think i should wait a few weeks for the 1g dsmlink? i would need a full blown laptop for that opposed to a palm. jeff, do you think it would be worth the wait too? just trying to get all the information that i need before dropping some bucks. so far, i like the pocketlogger screenshots more than the like the mmcd screenshots. i also like the connecter than comes with the pocketlogger better than the dsmloggers cable. no offense, :-) but i like the snap in installation. having those wires hanging off doesnt look like it would make a good connection. i like the dsmlink screenshots too but it almost looks like i would be jumping in over my head with that. at least it looks like the pocketlogger software is somewhat stupid user friendly. :-) thanks everyone, keep em coming.

just saw this, the dsmlink stuff runs off java. ugh.....dont know if i like that. 1 strike for dsmlink.

but, it does SO much more than log... ;)
anyone know when the actual e.t.a. for 1G DSMlink is? They've been testing it forever.

Well, anyone know if the full release be out by mid november hopefully?

it should be

no reports of price yet. just dont know if i want to run full laptop in the car. that is a little more of a hastle. plus, i dont see ANY information about the 1g dsmlink on their website. i am gonna keep looking though. also, they are talking about socketed ecu's. from reading that post, and reading on the dsmlink website, it looks to be true. i am not really into hacking into my ecu or sending it away to anyone. that doesnt tickle my fancy. strike 2? ;-)

pulled from tuners again.

"Yeah, I'm heading off to Disney this weekend for a week long family vacation. Our parts have arrived! Dave is going to start putting together circuit boards and cables while I'm gone. When I get back, I'm giving myself two weeks to pull everything else together and start taking orders. How's that for an update?

Thomas Dorris

theres the latest update. Enjoy jerking off to that :D"

looks like we should have them within the month. :D still dont know if i like the idea of chipping my ecu. it wouldnt happen until after winter anyway, i want to drive the car this winter if i can get it running in time.

I had my ecu socketed for the KeyDiver chip. No problems at all.

I personally will be getting 1g dsmlink sometime in the winter (unless I go nuts for AEM EMS), but the logger is fantastic on a budget.

Cheap PALM and the software and you have alot of diagnostic capabilites right at your fingertips.

i was wondering if you were gonna throw your two cents in matt. :-) i think i want the dsmlink since i already have a spare laptop i can throw it on. plus, i got an "unclaimed" PDA at work so i can use the PDA plug with dsmlink too in case i dont want to haul the laptop around. good thing i am not in a hurry i suppose.....few more weeks to wait until the projected release date.

Well the portability of the Palm is nice, but the total control of link is better. The software and hardware for link is much more expensive but proportionally more valuable.

You are right though. You have all winter while the car is put away to make a decision.

BTW, the cooling issues are taken care of and i have the new SPAL fan on so I should be driving her again next weekend. I'm already waiting for next year's SO.
