Ok, here's the deal. I have someone who wants to buy my 4g63 turbo motor and put it in his '91 Eagle Summit. Anyone know if this can be done and how involved modding it would be? The motor he has in it now is a 1.5L I4 SOHC 12 valve.

I think it bolts right in :P

12-valve? That's kinda cool, like the 24-valve '05 mustang v-8, or the 20 valve R1 motor.

Sorry, I can't add anything useful to this thread.

I doubt any of us will know for sure, but just looking at it, it does have a 4g15 in it right now, and I believe it should be able to bolt right in. And even thought the tranny on the Summit right now would bolt up, I don't think it would work, so a turbo tranny should be used if he is looking to make some power out of this thing. The swap will certaintly take some modifcation, but that should be expected.

The Summit is the same as the Mirage. This is an extremely common swap and is very easy to do. The engine bolts right in without any major work.

All I know is I'm grabbing the first 1995 Summit AWD (4g64 powered) I see. What an awesome platform is all I have to say. :thumbsup
