8184, Surge / Intermittent boost

Has anyone faced this problem?
Feels like boost is surging and you feel torque pull then it will bog down back and forth between the two.
Replaced with new clutch already.
can't seem to diagnosis problem.
any response is greatly appreicated.

Are you really running 16psi on a 16G w 450's?

actually not anymore.
I just changed my profile.
I had a 1999 gs w/ those mods.
I have a 1997 gst.
I had 625's in the end.
Ran real rich.

What is your fuel setup?

That is because people just ask questions assuming we know what kind of car they drive and what their mods are.

It is all stock.
Trying to figure out the problem before proceeding with any mods.
I am sorry for not mentioning that earlier.

If you are all stock then you need to look at:

Plugs, wires, fuel filter, boost leak test. I'm not sure where a clutch falls into it.

How many miles on it?

I would at least get a real boost guage so you can see what's happening.

Well I replaced the clutch thinking it was slipping.
Did a boost leak test. No leaks.
I have a auto meter 30psi gauge mounted to the pillar.
New plugs, wires, fuel filter and also replaced turbo last month
(all oem).
It has around 97000k miles.
So I have drop some money into it but no luck.

You mean the BCS. The turbos wastegate and the boost control solenoid are completely different.

If the BCS was broken it might trigger a CEL.

If you look at a wiring diagram the description shows as an wastegate
solenoid.
Also look a vaccuum line chart. That component is in direct line with the wastegate acuator.

I was going by what he had listed in his sig.
You guys need to help us out by listing any mods that would have to do with a specific problem.

I had a loose intercooler pipe, the clamp wasn't tight enough. Especially on the lower plastic ones, it's really small space down there.

I would romp until 4500, then the thing would buck, jerk, and basically flip me off. Rechecked pipes and lines and then tightened down, and then she ran mint. Try the basics. I know a bad/ disconnected MAF sensor will let you boost until like 4000 rpms, then the thing will die due to the cluster-fuck its in.

Ok now I am only get boost with half throttle.
I go wot and no boost.
I feel a little pull at half. And even then it sucks.
Getting worse.
