ok so a quick recap: my car won't hold 18psi anymore, after it gets past 12psi it waffles back and forth from uber high (22) to 15 or so. I did a pretty thorough boost leakdown test and found nothing leaking but my boost leak tester (time for a new one, but this one still did the job). I unhooked my boost controller (greddy profec B) and have the wastegate going to the lower intercooler pipe as per a sugesstion about a week ago on this site. The turbo makes a constant 9 psi or so, absolutely zero waffling.


Any suggestions?

is it possible for the actuator on a profec B to "burn out?" I don't wanna buy a new boost controller if I dont' need one...

I would borrow a MBC from someone and see if that fixes it. Actually, I'd just buy one anyway. If it's the in car adjustments that you like, Hallman makes one that does just that. ;)
