Ok, I've been trying to figure this one out for the past week but have had little success.

This noise started immediately after I installed my dejontool intake. What happens is anytime I let off the throttle when I'm not boosting I hear this very low howl/whoosh as the throttle plate is closing. I tuned the bov(type rs) correctly to ensure that I wasn't getting any compressor surge...so I know that isn't the problem. I've also checked for any kind of leaks and haven't been able to find anything. I'm stumped and I'm getting sick of hearing it lol...any help would be appreciated. Hopefully it's just something I've overlooked and is a simple fix...

I actually remember reading something about this a looong time ago and though not for certain, I think it's just because of the hard pipe. I think I seen it on tuners so I'd search there.

I already sat on there for an hour and a half searching through all of the garbage just to find no answer :-(

It's just because of the hard pipe. Instead of a rubber pipe absorbing noise, a metal one will actually amplify it.

Just turn the radio up louder if you dont like the noise :)

:wary Those are the kinds of sounds that make me want to just take my radio OUT! It's the squeaks, creaks, ticks and knocks that used to bother me. :P
