Will a motor mount bracket from a GST work on a GSX? Its the one in the back, from the firewall to the tranny/block. They are both 2G's.

I don't know much about turbo's and someone wants to sell me a TDO5(?) He said its a upgrade for my 95 GSX and would bolt right on. Is this correct?? I know to check for shaft play. Is it worth 100 bucks if there is no play?

He also has exhaust he wants me to buy. Down pipe, high flow cat and 3" s/s cat back. He said its a Tasudo (or something like that). I've never heard of that, is it any good?? The price seems to be good, he wants $200.

Thanks.

The turbo is a 14b. Yes, it's an upgrade. No, it won't bolt right in. You will need a 14b/16g install kit that consists of pretty much a j-pipe that will connect the turbo outlet to your stock lower intercooler pipe and a new oil feed line. You can reuse the water lines if you do some creative bending. The kits usually run about $200. You can get them from SBR or RRE.

$200 is $200. Your call. Be aware though that most cheaper ss exausts only use ss piping and the flanges and welds aren't. If you're located where they salt/sand the roads, it may not be such a good deal. I'd check the fs/wanted forums on DSM sites and try to find an exaust made by a reputable DSM vendor. You might pay a little more but it's better than having to replace it later.

Thanks for the reply.
I need that mount bad, once I get that on I can put my transfer case back on and get the little things done.

I think I'll pass on the exhaust.

I believe he said the turbo is off a 1st gen, he had it on a 2nd Gen. and has whatever in needs to fit. He said he would also give me a banjo fitting with it to run the oil line off the side of the head(under the water neck).
If there is no shaft play is it worth 100. He said it will take more boost than the stock T-25.

I'm gonna go and check the stuff out this afternoon. Is there a way to tell exactly what turbo it is? Could it be a 16g?

Thanks.

It's most likely a 14b and if the turbo is in good condition it's easily worth $100. If he has everything needed to bolt it in, bonus!
