anyone rebiulded a 4g63 before? How hard is it? I did a rebuilt on a neon block before and it was not that hard. The rings on my gvr4 are going and i'm thinking of selling or just rebiult it.

Just rebuild it with stock parts. It will run forever. I pulled apart a 4g63 that had 214,000 miles on it and the cross-hatching on the cylinder walls was almost perfect.

hey im rebuilding a sixbolt 4g63 and the only hard thing about it is the FREAKING waiting period for the machine shop to be done with the block....and the head....and then the excrusiating pain of having to wait months on parts that are on frreaking back order......agghhhh!!!
but other than that its pretty straight foward.
btw..im puting wiseco pistons..

it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. just be sure to have plenty of band-aids handy cause when you start breaking factory torque you start breaking knuckles. x(

yup ross is a good piston , i love them , once they had 500 miles on them they arnt as loud also, weisco pistons are sopposed to be good, i would recommend 2g pistons, but ive kill some of those, so i kinda went over kill on pistons kinda want to never break the motor again, now its just got head gasket problems, but that will be fixed soon.
