It's a 99 GSX with about 64k miles. Candy apple reddish color, whatever the technical name is for that one. Tan and black interior. Here's the mod list...
6 Bolt from a 91, Rebuilt withing 25k miles Shepracing Race Transmission (HD 3-4 Kit, 4 Spider Diff, Torrington Bearing) Clutch, ACT 2600 with Street Disc Flywheel, ACT EXACT Streetlite Oil Cooler, B&M External Oil Cooler with -10AN Braided Lines Throttle Body, 1G 65mm 99 GS-T Wheels Suspension, Eibach Prokits and Tokico Illumina Adjustable Shocks Specialty Products 2G Camber Kit Fuel line 6AN from tank to Fuel Rail, Aeromotive 1000 FPR Battery, trunk mounted in Moroso Battery Box NHRA approved with rear mounted kill switch and 100 Amp Breaker Shifter, B&M Short Throw shifter Symborski Shifter Kit Bushings
Still on the T25. He's asking $12,500. What do you guys think about this one? LOL only $1,500 more than what that guy was asking for the 92.

I think you should quit letting people do your work for you! :) If that were a bone stock 99 GSX with 60k on it, i would say go for it, but you dont want to buy someone elses project, especially if you dont know anything about where it came from, and who built it.

I agree that sometimes you don't want to deal w/ other peoples modded cars. Especially if the engine is from a different car. I'd buy a BPU car though.

First off, there is no way he put in a rebuilt 6-bolt and a shep tranny just to run a t-25. He had a much bigger turbo on there. If it had a bigger turbo, front mount, etc and it was in great condition inside and out, I would consider paying that much. But not knowing all of the previous mods, and what he has done to it (as far as abuse) I wouldn't offer more than $11k.

he said he's selling it to get an EVO, so maybe he kept the turbo and intercooler for that (i know evos have FMICs, but maybe it's bigger than stock). He said he would strip all the mods and sell it to me for the blue book price, but I wouldn't be able to get a shep stage 3 tranny, ACT clutch, and a flywheel for under $4k. I dunno. Sucks that I pretty much need a car ASAP, since I'm having problems with mine

i asked about that, and he said that it was a 10 second car before he decided to sell it. he said he took off most of the bolt ons, and that is when he rebuilt the engine. it's probably the best one i can find in the next week that is close to me. what do u think? thanks for the help guys.

If you are willing to pay $12.5K for a 2g (and $11.5K for a 1g), why not just spend an extra $6K and get a used Evo? I'm sure you can find one for about $18k. Just another idea.
Oh, and people who have 10 sec 2g's get an Evo as a daily driver or winter beater ;-)

Where the hell can you find a used Evo for $18k?

Eh, I wouldn't really consider those deals since a lot of them have either a lot of miles or something wrong with them. You're right though, I never would've expected to see them under $25k.
