car missfires at idle, smokes like a skeeter machine at idle, just as bad and a little worst while moving, missfires worse while driving, in second gear, itll just start lundging like its bogging......cars been sittin a while so it could have bad gas, white with blue tint smoke everywhere, so could be turbo (didnt notice it build any boost according to stock boost gauge.... have an exhaust look ath the turbo to exhaust connection,pissed cause i thought i would get to drive it cause i just did a timing belt change.............whats wrong!!!!!!!

ps while looking at boost setup, there is no vaccumm hose connecting to the bcs plug, they all go to the waste gate to the intake pipe etc

sounds like a SERIOUS boost leak. Could be other things too.
Had you ever driven this car since you bought it? I thought I remember you saying you bought it with a broken timing belt.
Valves could be bent too if the belt did in fact break while car was running. That would cause some of the symptoms you speak of....

belt never broke, just stripped some teeth, head is fine......gotta check for boost leaks, whats a good way to do that besides the standard tighten all clamps?

You could buy a PVC endcap and rubber coupler at home depot, drill a hole in it big enough to put a valve stem in. Seal it up with epoxy. take off the intake pipe to the turbo and clamp this in it's place. Put in some air pressure and listen for leaks. :P

What Tony described is a leak down tester. There is a vfaq for it I believe and spraying soapy water on the pipes and such make it easier to see leaks as you'll see little soap bubbles come up where there is a leak.
