I'm guessing your refering to Viscous coupling LSD's.

That's a limited slip differential that uses a fluid material to lock and unlock the two drive wheels in a rear/front diff or to distribute power front to rear diffs.

They are inferior to clutch or mechanical lsd though. Clutch and mech. one respond to applied torque and stop one wheel from breaking free before it happens. Viscous coupling however react to the different wheel speeds, meaning it only works after one wheel has broken free so to speak.

does the lsd prevent snow fun or since all the tires are madly spinning it doesnt matter. just wondering. i better get to have fun in this awd this year.

my Talon is a 92 with LSD. Seemed pretty fun to me! :thumbsup
