sounds like good labor prices but do you really need 5 new gears?

They were all worn down. Plus my 5th gear was the problem of my 4th gear. There was a spring that was poping out and it was because of the 5th gear. Not exactly sure but w/e haha

When you say backfiring through the MAS, do you mean an audible backfire coming from the airfilter? How did the car run with the leak? Just curious.

No, haha, it was just making the car run PIG rich, which it still does. To tell you the truth, I havent really noticed a huge difference with the hole in the intercooler. When I got it patched it I hooked up the SAFC2, this thing is confuseing me haha. I leaned it out a little bit.

Well, the car does have 77k on it so it does have some life on it.

replaced and reinstalled, he charged me 15 bucks for that cause he said it was a PITA but I know its only like a couple bolts you need torque.

I am curious as to why you didn't get a BM or Shep's tranny? 2500 seems like a hell of alot for a tranny rebuild.

If you read the parts, 2500 dollars includes the labor to put it in, also flywheel, and clutch, so that 1600 dollars in parts is now brought down to 1000, almost the same as shepherd. I had major 5th gear problems. And he was local so I took it there with nothing, and he bought everything, installed everything and fixed everything for that price. He took the tranny out twice because of the 4th gear poping out.
