5268, VR4 engine in 4 cyl. Galant

This is not for me, it is for a friend.

He owns a $ cyl. Galant and was asking me if a VR4 engine would fit in his car. Being no expert on this car i said i would check for him and post on this site. TIA for all info regarding this swap!

P.S. I searched briefly and could not find anything regarding this topic.

I'm sure it can be done, but it's not going to be an easy swap like you'd find in a Honda. If it's an 89 to 93 Galant, he might have better luck, but I know there's one guy on here sporting a 4G63T in a 94 Galant. He comes to the shootout each year. It's green, I think, but I can't remember his name on here...

Craig Ristuben had/has one. I'm not sure but I think he parted it. A few yrs back, he beat Russ Coxe with it at the shootout by making him overheat his tranny at the lights because he took his sweet ass time staging. :evilgrin
I don't think he's a member on here though. :shrug
