Pretty cool. I am totally jealous that I didn't think of the Tomcat designs myself. Top Gun and now the Jolly Rogers from the VF-84 on the Nimitz? (sigh) I never have any good ideas. :P

A friend of mine back in Wichita was a RIO in that unit. He said their call sign for the carrier was "Climax," because, "When Climax was coming, somebody was about to get fucked." Pretty cool to talk to a real Top Gun type. :thumbsup

That's actually the original Time Attack car (the flat black one). TA2 won't be ready for a few months yet. The car looks ready and Paul can flat out drive, so hopefully they can pull the upset over the Cyber Evo at the Redline Time Attack event...

I saw the different graphics and for some stupid reason was thinking that the drag car was TAT1 and this was TATTOO. :nuts

Yeah, I have a soft spot for that car, after working on it at Mid Ohio during the NASA Nationals. I have pics of my 12 year old son checking air pressures and riding down to the grid with Jon as well. Good times...

Has tat1 always had that wing on it?

On another note, it looks so awesome. I wish I was in the performance car building field instead of just a broke hobbyist.

No, that's a new wing for this year. The wing they used previously didn't generate enough downforce. Curiously the front splitter has disappeared this year as well. Anyone serious about roadracing should really keep close tabs on these guys. Noticing details like the absence of a front splitter is like having them do all the R&D for us - it's gone for a reason.

What a crazy spoiler. I dunno what to think about it. I thought the supercar engineering spoiler on the a Stealth I saw was big.
