some time ago my 2g BOV busted completely in half. after that, under medium to hard acceleration, the whole car would jolt and stutter if you know what i mean. i got a 1g bov put on it and reset the computer by disconnecting the power cable for a few minutes. well it still does it. could the bov i bought, which was used off ebay, be a bad bov or is it something else??? they didnt tell me but when i bought it i noticed the outlet that connects the small tube was bent. is it that the bov needs replaced? if not, what else could it be? thanks, kolby.

You should do a boost leak test before buying another one. Plus you will know for sure your BOV is bad if you can hear it leaking.
Here is how to do a boost leak test: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html. I would do one every time you change a part that could leak boost, like the BOV. Bookmark this page as it is very handy: http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html
